Bio

Walter J. Chazin, Ph.D. is Chancellor’s Professor of Biochemistry and Chemistry, Ingram Professor of Cancer Research, and Director of the Center for Integrated Structural Biology and the Molecular Biophysics Training Program at Vanderbilt University. He earned a B.Sc. - Chemistry from McGill University (1975) and a Ph.D. - Chemistry from Concordia University (1983). After postdoctoral positions at the E.T.H. in Switzerland with Kurt Wüthrich and at the Scripps Research Institute with Peter E. Wright, he was on faculty in the Department of Molecular Biology at the Scripps Research Institute, before moving to Vanderbilt in 1999.
